The area around the lake was quiet; the sound of the water and the occasional seagull calls made me feel alive. A few seagulls were slowly moving across the surface, while one on the left spread its wings and took off. The branches at the top of the frame form a natural border, and the arc-shaped ripples on the water draw the eye toward the centre.
In this frame, I deliberately kept the feeling of the city out. There’s a road and a few cars in the background, but I pulled the light and contrast toward the area where the seagulls are. That way, the photo feels less like a park scene and more like a calm lake moment.
This has become one of my favourite landscape photos from this period; it shows the thin line between city and nature on the surface of a quiet lake without needing any dramatic gesture.
