If someone asked “Who is Mert Karataş?”, I’d love to answer with just one word: “Photographer.” But after the jaundice I had as a baby and the oxygen complications that followed, even being alive was described as a miracle. Since childhood, I’ve learned to push past the limits cerebral palsy drew for me by opening new routes—like a fighter rebuilt from ashes. I think, I learn, I create.

The imagined geography carried out of Henüz İmkansız: not travel memories, but coordinates of curiosity.
This is not a travel diary. These places are coordinates in an imagined atlas: a way of asking what kind of system, rhythm, aesthetic or contradiction pulls me toward a place. Impossible, For Now ↗
Rhythm
A city where weathered surfaces and music occupy the same frame; history ages the walls, not the pulse.
Order
The tension between precision and tropical life: code and leaf, control and vitality, without turning order into sterility.
Scale
Past and megacity speed overlap; the question is how much room a single person keeps inside systems built at enormous scale.
Slowness
A deliberately slower capital placed against a fast mind: measure, quiet and the possibility of reducing everyday velocity.
Connection
Cacao, mist and tropical geography connect climate, labour, trade and sensory memory in a single object.
Access
The atlas leaves Earth with one stubborn question: if humanity builds another world, will it carry the same accessibility mistakes with it?
